need advice on changing my bath taps to new ones same style as before. also wash basin and new system for toilet. can you advise me if we can do yjis job ourselves or do we need a plumber. and would the taps be easy to get off and what tools would we need for the job. also would like to know if possible to change the ols waste for new on both bath and sink.
hi veronica if you can get identical taps then it would be easier alternatively get flexible connectors and cut pipes lower down you will need hacksaw [metal] £1.00 long tap spanner £6-15.00 maybe something to hold taps,, 2 spanners 0 to 1 1/4 inch, say £10 file £1 [metal] taps can be a barsteward to remove [ i can spell] then you will need ingenuity and more tools, the basin is not too bad but the cistern can be tricky if close coupled ie joined to pan , if seperate then its easier but water connection and overflow pipe may be in wrong place for new cistern all the best john
