Clay Sewer Pipe - connection to GU50 Gully Trap

Post by oliveriles » Wed Apr 15, 2009 9:31 am

I have a clay sewer pipe that runs under the path outside my house.

Currently I have a square salt glaze/ clay type hopper that allows me to see the sewer pipe and it also have a rainwater downpipe and two water waste pipes from the kitchen going directly into it from the top.

My building inspector says I need to put a trap gully in place to take the 3 water pipes.

My question is as follows;

If I put a UG50 bottle gully in place to take the three water pipes can the clay sewer pipe go through the UG50 pipe?

If not ok - is it ok to T around the gully and connect back to the sewer pipe on the other side og the gully - as the gully will also have to connect to the sewer pipe how far should this connection be from the gully trap?

If I do need to T what products are available to create the 2 90 degree bends in a clay pipe.

repys appreicated.
