Computer erased programs after a windows update

    Postby alison1971 » Fri Apr 17, 2009 8:57 pm

    Hello
i am a little baffled; my daughters laptop has somehow lost the whole of the microsoft office suite since a windows update.

Her laptop was working fine, and then after accepting a windows update, there no appears to be no office suite to use.

    Any ideas?

I have been atempting a system restore but her laptop doesnt want to do that either...other than this, the laptop is working as normal.

    Wierd.

    Any ideas please

    Alison

    alison1971,
Open the C drive, open Program files, open microsoft office, open Office 11 or 12 depending which version you had, you can then find the components eg word, excel, publisher, make a shortcut and put this either on the desktop or in the start menu if you prefer.
If the Office folder is not there you will have to re-instal Office.
    end
