    Concrete for fence post

    Postby kz2kx2 » Wed Oct 17, 2007 1:46 pm

I am install a PVC fence and I am wondering the best way to install the concrete around the posts. I have hear may different ways of doing it. I would like to know the best(easiest). Mixing the concrete in a wheelborrow and pouring in hole (time consuming). Next pouring the dry powder into the hole and adding water. and the third way is just pouring the powder in the hole and covering with the dirt. Could you give me any insight on possible problem with any of these methods.

    Thanks
    Darryl

See our project on concreting fence posts. There is no other way if you want them to stay there. Time consuming it may be but doing something properly usually saves time in the end as you only have to do it once.

when you dig out your hole place bricks around the posts as packers so you can fill and carry on working on fence with out the worry off displacing the posts
