I am in the process of laying a concrete slab in the courtyard of a property in central london it is approx 200 sq ft. It will lay on a clay base do I need to lay hard core or can I sand blind the clay, lay polythene then install insulation and steel then pour concrete? Can I cast a slab of this size in one go or would it need to be cast in several pieces?

    Any help would be appreciated.
