Concrete stepping stones in lawn

Post by medindexer » Thu Jul 19, 2007 11:17 am

As a general rule I do not do DIY. However, I want to make just a few plain concrete stepping stones across a lawn from my back door to a shed. I would have imagined that using a template I would have gouged out the appropriate number of circles in the lawn with the correct space between them digging to a depth of about an inch and a half. I would then pour in some concrete in to all the holes (concrete purchased from a DIY store and mixed in a large bucket) - and that's it (is it?). Could those of you who know about such things tell me what I should or should not be doing? Please keep it simple. Thanks

I believe you can just use slab sand under the stepping stones. Lay them on the grass and cut around them.
