Connecting Existing Footing to new Reinforced Cage Footing

by eijaz2006 » Sat Feb 11, 2017 11:40 pm

Hi, all I was wondering if any one can advise me.

I have to join an existing footing with a new reinforced cage. A enginner gave me drawings to follow, but i cannot get hold of the engineer to explain me some parts of the drawing.

I have uploaded an image of the drawing.

What I am confused about the part:
New concrete to be dowelled to existing with 2no H12 dowels resin anchored at 300mm centre. ( i do not understand the 300mm centred, what do they mean by that, as the cage is 450mm height.)

Do i just centred (resin anchors) it from the centre of the cage 300mm apart?

Any help would be appreciated.

I think he means 4 pins at 300mm apart 75mm from the top of the concrete and 75mm from the base of the concrete
