im building a new bathroom upstairs, the 4''soil pipe coming out from new bathroom needs to be connected into the sewer possible a clay pipe ,house is pretty old what connection do i use to connect 4''pvc to clay pipe and what ratio does the fall have to be on the pvc pipe ,from side of house to sewer is probably 20-25 feet thanks
BR Dept should be involved for this work.
You will have to form an inspection chamber at the new junction.
Aim for a fall of about 1 in 25, this is more than is strictly needed but you must allow for bends in the pipe and joints.
