Just over twelve months ago we bought a Cookworks built in oven from Argos. A few weeks ago it just stopped working. I checked the rear connection and the wall outlet, all fine. I pulled out the oven and found the selector switch to be a bit 'burnt' for a better word. I bought a new selector switch but the configuration is slightly different. On the old switch there are only six wired connections, P1-P3 and 1-5. I reconnected these to the new switch and it blew my MCB. Can anyone give me some direction on which connections are which. I have searched the net but cannot find a service/repair manual. I contacted the place where I got the switch and they say I have to get an approved appliance engineer to replace it.
