Corrugated tin roof - should I insulate new square form tin roof?

by agats » Fri Jan 23, 2015 6:32 pm

My workshop is about 130 m2 the roof is corrugated tin it is old but strong. It is quite prone to condensation and a couple of leaks.

I am planning to put 3 by 2 laths on top of the existing roof and then put new square form tin on top.

I am wondering should I put insulation in this space or just leave it.

I would leave it - you may actually create more problems by reducing airflow, which could potentially cause a build up of condensation.
