creaking pipes under tank in airing cupboard
Hi,when we moved into the house last winter 2011,no noise, but this year its,an annoying creaking noise all the time while the central heating is on,cant pull up boards without tanking the tank out.Any help or advice appreciated. The noise is really getting on my nerves. Thanks
Re: creaking pipes under tank in airing cupboard
ninja1971,
Most likley cause is the pipes expanding and contracting and they are tight in a hole cut in the flooring or joists. If you can pinpoint the source of the noise cut a hole in the plasterboard under the tank and cushion the pipes using pipewrap. end
