Creosote Cladding stinks! need help

by Karrion » Fri Jun 04, 2010 11:55 am

Hi guys

I had some badly weather-worn cladding on the front of my house. Needing to give it a quick face-lift before renting the property I preped the timber and thew a load of "Creosote" from B&Q over it. (The fake creosote you can buy now)

The finish is fine and the wood is well protected.. The problem is now that the weather has warmed up the stuff stinks to high heaven!

Is there any way to stop the stink or do I need to tear the whole thing down and put new stuff up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I cant find anything online to help.

K
