cutting out in prelaid and glued laminate flooring

Post by gordor1 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 9:14 am

I need to cut out a section of my prelaid and glued laminate flooring to expose the concrete in order to fit a fireplace.

I also need to to cut the plasterboard and skirting (I really don't want to take the skirting off)

Can anybody recommend the appropriate tool? I was thinking of buying a dremel type tool but not sure if the cutting tools will cut through the thickness of the materials

G,

USE HAND SAWS IN THESE SITUATIONS.

A "PAD SAW" AND A "FLOORING SAW" ARE THE ONES TO AQUIRE FOR THE JOBS YOU HAVE IN MIND
