DEAD THREE PIN SOCKET

Postby dogbitedave » Fri Feb 13, 2009 1:53 pm

OUR DISHWASHER STOPPED WORKING. SUDDENLY

CHECKED THE FUSE, NO PROBLEM.

APPEARED TO BE THE WM HAD DIED, 10 YEARS OLD

THEN DISCOVERED NO POWER FROM SOCKET

THE SOCKET ITSELF HAD DIED,

CHANGED SOCKET, OLD FOR NEW AND ALL IS WORKING.

HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF A SOCKET 'DYING' ?

CAN THIS HAPPEN TO LIGHT SWITCHES?

Yes dogbitedave socket-outlets can become faulty and fail, not uncommon.
