by jud178 » Mon Jan 03, 2011 6:11 pm

my daughter has a combi boiler,CH side is fine but the DHW is only luke warm.the DHW dial on the boiler is turned up full the temp on the gauge is 60 degrees.when the taps are turned on the water is only just warm no matter what the flow rate is,plus the temp drops down to about 56 degrees.we would appreciate any advice.

What boiler is it? How old is it?
Does the burner light/ flame go out every so often when the hot tap is running?

It's likely to be the plate heat exchanger that needs changing.

Could be the diverter, when the central heating is cold, turn on the hot tap and check to see if there's any heat on the flow pipe.
