disconnecting a dishwasher

Postby leeby » Mon May 07, 2007 12:53 pm

I am wanting to disconnect my dishwasher and not replace it. I have unplugged it from the mains, now have to disconnect the water supply. The hoses are plasic, but I notice that one of them is connected to a plastic connector. Can a blanking disc be used to connect to a plastic pipe? Also, can a blanking disc be used on a permanent basis.?

Simply Build It

If the pipes are connected to the water via a valve as they should be then the valves can simply be turned off, the dishwasher pipes disconnected and left. Make sure that the valve cannot be turned on accidentally by taping round the blue lever.
