Distance between properties

by Lily » Fri May 25, 2007 3:37 pm

Our immediate neighbour (terraced) is building a conservatory with a pool within, they wish to build the wall to this along the lenghth of the garden that is the boudary between our homes.

Can they build right up to the boundary edge or do they have to leave a distance between at all ? if so how much ??

Im worried about noise from that pool area if there is no gap.

There is also likely to be windows on the top of the wall into their pool area.. the window edges would be over the boundary surely ??

Can you advise...

Usually there is no reason why a property cant be built on a boundary Lily after all it is still their garden right up to the boundary. Check with your local council if you have doubts.
