Do I need full planning permission to convert part of my garage into a utility room?

quick qurie do i need full planning permission to convert part of my garage into a utility room. I will still have a garage al beit only a small one, so there wil lbe no change to the look of my property, I am aware that I would require building regs.

if your using it as just a utility room and not converting it into a living area, bedroom etc and not altering anything structural, then you don't need planning consent.
