Door at bottom of stairs
I am trying to find out if it is alright to have a door next to the bottom step on a flight of stairs. It is for a loft conversion and I want some way to close off the upstairs when it is not in use. I have had a look in part K but it dosnt seem to mention it. Any ideas?
Re: Door at bottom of stairs
the bottom step of the stairs must be a minimum of 700mm from the door.
Re: Door at bottom of stairs
Thanks, Where is this covered in the Building regulations?
Re: Door at bottom of stairs
sorry don't know, I know it from architectural plans and got pulled up on it by the building inspector.
