Door casing - how much to leave

hi all i gutted my house, hollow paster and took out old door frames.

i have a mix of stud and brick walls and was wondering if i left 15mm overhang for timber stud and 20mm for brick would that be sufficent for the plasterer to work up too??

i will be asking for 12.5mm boards.

yes thats fine,but if the walls are uneven leave a bit more the plasterer can always pack out the wall with more plaster.
