Double Switch, Used 1 way

Hi, My problem is that i have a double switch for my garden

first switch is for the water pump, the second switch for my lights,
problem is that a electrician as some how connected one switch to
both, so when i switch my pump on the lights are also on.
can any one help,

I rather think that you should get your electrician back
to answer your query .

problem with this i have left it too long to bring him back & i am not happy with he's work.
so this is why i am on this forum to try for my self.
