Double Timber Doors Not Closing Properly

by aitkenfm » Thu Jun 28, 2007 12:13 am

Hi,
I've rebuilt from scratch an old timber hut/garage. I used off saw wood timber (not tonge and groove) which I cut to size. I did the same with the double doors, attaching the planks to each other with back board planks. I attached a top and bottom benton bolt to the first closing door which holds neatly in place but the 2nd door when closed does not sit neatly against the first and in fact has started to pull away from the fist door when closed. There does seem to be a slight outward bend from the last 3 panels of the 2nd door particularly at the top of the panels creating a gap at the top of the door were rain can get in. How can I correct this to ensure the doors meet and stay close together to prevent this?

Cheers
