double wall plate

Postby vonspritz » Fri Feb 24, 2012 9:44 am

Hi everyone
I'm building a two storey extension. The block work is just approaching roof level & so I need some more info about roofing.
can anyone answer the following?
Some drawings I've seen show a double wall plate. Is this preferable & why?
Thanks in advance for your trouble
