Post by cabby » Tue Apr 08, 2008 3:15 pm

hi people can any one discribe the process of concreteing foundations when u have drainage pipes running through them ?
am i right in thinking u shutter up around the pipes and later fill the gap with pea shingle then and do u then put lintels over the top to build on ?

you must dig a trench 450mm under the pipe and 450mm clearence around the pipe and encase in concrete if the pipe is visible after the concrete is poured use a lintol to span it

ing is 1.5m deep and the pipe is 1.0m so i would shutter up either side then pour concrete fill with shingle and then put lintels over the gap and carry on filling with concrete to the top is that correct ?
thanks for the reply
