drilled through branch water pipe

Postby wilkyduch » Fri Sep 18, 2009 7:06 am

Its a black plastic pipe coming in from the outside water main and ive stupidly put a hole in it when laying a floor. the pipe is under a concrete floor. Ive shut off the water and manage to dig out and expose the damaged pipe. Any advice on how to repairthis . I thought about using a 'stop it ' repair bandage which appears easy to apply or cutting out the damaged pipe and using a speedfit coupler to patch the pipe.
If i do this, what would the size of the branch pipe likely to be.
Is there any other solution/recommendation.
Thank you so much
