    drilling into brickwork

    Am having problems drilling into brickwork. Drill won't go any further than approx 2cm before it reaches a block. What is likely to be causing the block? How should I attach the shelves to this wall with confidence that they will be able to carry weight?

    Buy a new high grade masonry bit TCT(tungsten carbide tipped)
