    electric cable insulation

    Postby Gaz » Sat Mar 10, 2007 10:32 am

is the insulation on PVC cable affected by silicon sealants or cement etc? I have recently fitted main bonding from my gas meter and sealed the cable in the wall with a silicon based sealer?

Cable should be in a conduit through any type of wall gaz. A damaged earth cable can be as dangerous as a damged live.
