    Electric Tile Saw

    Postby RichardM » Fri Jul 01, 2011 1:59 pm

I need to cut some old terracotta floor tiles 6x6 ins by just under 1 in. Can anyone suggest a tile saw that is up to the job but that does not cost too much as it won't get much use. I have seen a Vitrex 750 watt at Topps for about ÂŁ70 retail which cuts to 30mm. Would this do the job. There are cheaper ones but these only cut to about 25mm and I feel this would be at the max of their operating ability. any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Any particular make of diamond blade? There appears to be a wide range of prices and do I use it wet or dry? If the former what is the best way to apply the water?
