hi my m8 has rewired his garage when wiring the ring cir, to the consumer unit he put it to the 6a mcb i told him that it should be wired to the 16a mcb i told him the 6a mcb is for the lighting cir is this correct or not

If your m8 isn't a sparks then he shouldn't have done it in the first place , tell him that instead .Cheers Jeff

Firstly please see our projectv on Part P of the building regulations. It is against the law to contravene these regulations and, as well as being extremely dangerous your home insurance and resale ability may be affected. An electrician will look at your question later.
