    I have a semi-large WI closet with a small door. I'd like to double to size of the entrance and put in french doors. Assuming the wall is load bearing, how should I go about this? I'm just a novice weekend warrior, but I'd [i]really[/i] like to do this myself.

    Hire yourself some acrow props with stongboys, jack up the opening, fit a lintol and concrete it in place and then widen the opening.
