Extending Circuits

Post by toolbox » Sun May 06, 2007 2:14 pm

I am extending into my loft. There is a double socket installed already from a spur.

Can i continue to add scokets off this spur if i put in a fused connection unit?

How can i tell if the spur is on a ring or radial from the mcb.

Thanks.

Yes if you fit the fused connection unit b4 the first socket.
check on rating of mcb a ring will be 32Amcb a radial will be 16 or 20 A,
only other (unlikely) possibility is 32 A mcb with 4mm radial but this will only have one wire in mcb, ring will have 2.
