Exterior Door - weather bar or not?

by heirpin » Thu Jan 31, 2008 10:21 am

Hi,

I'm replacing my exterior front door and am wondering if I need a weather bar as there is already a metal bar in the door step and the bottom of the door is shaped to fit this so I would have thought that would have stopped any water getting under the door into the porch.

Does that make sense?

hi i would definately put a weather board on the door this helps take the water away from the face of the door . if you didnt have this on the chances are you will be getting puddles on the floor trouble is the wind drives rain under door hopr this helps :)
