Eye Ball Down-lights??

by Jumos » Sat Jan 15, 2011 9:45 pm

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum! (First Post)

I'd like some help with a problem with the lighting (Light Fittings x 4) in my kitchen ceiling!

There are 4, eyeball down-lights that are a real pain when it comes to changing a bulb, I have great difficulty in removing the bulbs; and also trying to fit new bulbs, the threads are terrible; and the nature of the eyeball fitting wont allow a good hand hold on the bulb!

I have had the fittings changed (Replaced) a couple of times, but the same problem occurs with each new set of eye-ball fittings!!

I would like to change these eye-ball fittings to a light fitting with an easier bulb change, but there is the problem of the 4, holes in the ceiling!!

Can anyone suggest a solution to my problem? would it be possible to find another fitting that would fit in the ceiling - but without the eye-ball?

Thanks

jumos
