fasias on gable wall

Just had a loft conversion which has a gable wall. The builders have not put fasias. Does it need fasias or note. Please help. PS The loft conversion is complete now. Only have to paint the gable wall from outside>

what do you think facias are for in this case? looks or rafter protection? there is more than one way to finish off a roof.

i'm not sure they are necessarily a requirement. if you think the job is not complete without them, talk to your builder, see why they havent' included them. its your project, have them put them on if you want them, feel the roof needs them
