Faulty Baxi 80e/105e Boiler

by Wayne.7 » Tue Nov 16, 2010 8:41 am

I have a problem with my baxi combi boiler 80e/105e.
I have no central heating but the hot water is working fine.

I have switched off at the mains, I have also checked the wiring on the thermostat and that seems fine as the light is burning but it's not making a clicking sound which normaly ignites the flame for the central heating.
PLEASE HELP!!

Regards
Wayne

Possibly the thermostat is faulty. Quick check. If you are competent enough to identify the switching circuit at the thermostat, then with the power off connect these two cables together. Switch power back on and run the boiler normally. Should the boiler fire on heating then the stat is gubbed.
