    fence posts

    Postby ewan » Tue Sep 02, 2008 2:29 pm

    Hi

We have a fence that was fairly recently put in. It is very long, 20 metres in places. the posts are about 5 foot part all along. the fence is just under 5 foot high, so I understand that the posts are in the ground about a foot each.

Some of the posts seem to be cemented in fully , especially at the corners of the fence. Others are slightly less cemented in, with a bit of give on them.

Is there anyway of strengthing the posts over time and the next few months.

i.e could I trowel away a hole around the post and put concrete in, just to build on the strength of the fence.
