Fencing - modify? or replace?

by souness » Sun Jun 03, 2007 9:14 pm

I've just bought a house where the back garden has ranch fencing on 3 sides. The only problem with it is I get no privacy as there are approx 2 inch gaps between each of the wooden boards. Is it possible to alter this fence in any way to increase privacy from neighbours (ie attach panels to what already exists) or is it better to completely replace with new fence panels?

Cheaper to get some timber cut to the exact width required to fill the gaps and then screw it on. See your local joiner for a price to cut the boards.
