    Finding a plasterer

    Postby whitehart » Sun May 20, 2012 7:35 pm

    Hi All

I'm trying to find a plasterer and have gone down the ask friends and family route but either they weren't interested or too busy, so its yellow pages or google.

how do you hope to get a decent one, are there any questions i should ask and sites to look for them, i need my whole house plastering, would it be acceptable for me to ask them to do one room and see how it looked before going ahead with the whole job??

i don't want to trust someone on a 4k job and it turn out to be a nightmare.

    any advice? thanks in advance

    Hi

Have you had a chance to have a look at our HIPS programme at all. If you click on the following link we have a wealth of information on finding reliable and trustworthy tradespeople:

    http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/home-improv ... lution.htm

Also we have recently teamed up with Trustmark who are a government funded organisation dedicated to ensuring that any tradespeople on their database have been checked and insured. Click through to our Find Tradesmen section for more information:

    Hope this helps!
