    Fire Cement (flue pipe) Removal

    Postby SamJay » Mon Feb 06, 2012 4:16 pm

    Hi

I understand that the flue pipe going into the back of the gas stove is sealed with fire cement. As this can cope with temperatures of 1000 degrees, heating it up will do nothing, so how do I remove the pipe?

It's a 5" 90 degree elbow, and I'd prefer not to damage it.

    Cheers.
