Fire Place Conversion - Plan Consent Required?
Can anyone please advise if I need planning permission to convert an old fire place in my kitchen to an alcove for an AGA. I therefore need to increase the width of the opening and thus fit a wider lintel in a higher position. The house is of brick construction and the chimney contains a fireplace in the room above. The house is not listed or in a conservation area.
