Fire Rated Doors - loft conversion

by briann » Mon Jul 14, 2008 5:32 pm

I am having my loft converted and my understanding is that doors on the levels below need to be FR30 rated in order to protect the escape.

I have frameless glass doors instaled and am reluctant to replace with timber. Is there an alternative? Early warning detection within the living spaces for example.

Regards,

Brian

Hi

Have you had a look at the DIY Doctor projectssection, particularly the project on Fire Doors https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/firedoors.htm. If you then require further assistance contact the project sponsors The Door Store.

Regards
