by solarpulse » Wed Oct 01, 2008 6:36 pm

Hi i need help!
I've just fitted three new light's two are working fine which are wall mounted and the other is on the ceiling.
the problem am having is that the ceiling light is staying on constantly and the ony way you can switch it off is if you switch the mains off.
Do you know where the problem might be?

Yes you have connected it to loop rather than switch wires to explain look at http://www.ericpalmer.fsnet.co.uk/Lighting.html if you still can't work it out come back and ask again. It is a common problem often lamps are feed with two black or two blue wires one with a red or brown sleeve. I have tried to circle cables to make it clear what is at each ceiling rose.
