Fixing a bar shower mixer

by jemball » Wed Jan 20, 2010 6:14 pm

I have just bought an 'Architeckt Linear Thermostatic Bar Combi Shower & Kit' but it now appears that I have to pay another £35 to get a wall mounting kit.

Does anyone know of any alternative (and hopefully cheaper!) way to fix the shower to the wall? I plan to fix it to a plywood backing, so drilling holes etc. would not be a problem.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Hi jemball

There is a product that I have used, go to a plumbers merchants, not B&Q, and ask for a bar shower back plate, not sure of the trade name, basically the plate fits onto the wall an the two fitting on the front take the 15mm pipes and the shower screws onto the fittings, bingo, good secure shower

Thanks a lot Skids. It sounds like a good idea and I'll check it out on Monday.

Regards,

John
