Fixing glass to MDF

I have to fix glass to mdf. The glass size is 900mm x 1800mm. It weighs about 15kg. Does anybody have any experience of how to fix this. I have considered using some sort of channel, but would prefer to use some sort of Grip fill product. Any help would be appreciated.

is it clear glass or a mirror? Also is it being stuck over the whole surface, for what purpose is it being fixed
