Fixing to a ceiling
How can I suspend a rather heavy boxing bag from the ceiling of my son's bedroom? Idealy, I guess, it would have to be from a joist(?) up in the loft? Open to suggestions!
i'd be inclined to get a piece of 4x2" in the loft spanning a few (at least two) joists and fix to that. that way you'd be spreading the load.
not just the weight, its the additional forces implied when using the bag to think about.
