fixing units onto plasterboard walls

i am decorating my my house and i am fitting bathroom fittings and i have a problem??? it concerns tha the walls - it is plasterboard throughout the house - a newbuild
how do i screw something into the wall where there is a hollow gap between ensuite wall and bedroom wall
