Fixing Window Blind to UNEVEN SURFACE - HELP PLEASE!

by jay2075 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 2:49 pm

Hello all,

DIY beginner, hence the post. I bought my house 8 months ago, complete with decorated en-suite bathroom. The tiling is like fired earth style, and covers all available space barring the ceiling, and as such there is nowhere to drill above the window to put up a blind.

The style of the tiles means that the surface is uneven, and as such I think I may have problems using any kind of adhesive; I was thinking of putting up a piece of wood using Gripfil and then drilling into this, but I'm not sure.

If anyone can offer any help or suggestions I'd be very grateful...

DILL, PLUG AND SECURE BRACKETS TO WALL THROUGH TILES.
USE SMALL MASONARY BIT FIRST TO PROVIDE ACCURATE POSITIONING OF HOLES THEN DRILL OUT WITH FINAL SIZE MASONARY BIT TO ACCEPT PLUGS.
