fixings for timber cladding

by ChrisRipper » Tue Feb 02, 2010 10:34 am

I'm building a garden shed which will be clad with shiplap timber.

What are the best fixing nails to use? Does one nail per board per stud suffice?(the studwork will be with 16 inch centres)

At the moment 50mm sheradised lost heads look to be the best option but very difficult to find a supplier of smaller quantities.

Many thanks

ChrisRipper,
Does one nail per board per stud suffice? YES
50mm sounds a bit long won't 25mm be sufficient?
end
