Flat roof leaking

Post by forthbridge » Thu Dec 20, 2012 8:47 am

My flat roof is leaking. I have been up to inspect the damage to the roof. It appears to have a few small cracks in the felt. I know I can buy products to patch the roof but what can I use in wet weather ? Every product I have looked at states that the roof needs to be dry. There is no chance of getting any dry weather as it is forecast to rain heavily all week.
Any ideas or tips please, before I end up with a major repair.

forthbridge,
There are a couple of products on the market which are supposed to be useable in wet conditions.
One is a roofing repair mastic in a tin the other is a silicone mastic available in tubes.
I've tried them both and all I achieve is getting the stuff all over my hands.
Suggest you buy a tarpauline and fit this over the roof until the weather improves.
end
