Hi ,
have installed floor joists in my loft conversion as indicated by plans that i have, building inspector has said that some of joists are to small, should be 175x50 not 150x50, he has said i can bolt another timber to the joists that are the problem but needs a calc to state it will work.
Can someone calculate the joist span of 2 nr 150x47 joists bolted together and tell me how calc is done to prove to inspector. have got to achieve a span of 3.6m
